Yalta and PotsdamYalta was a wartime allied conference in which the "Big Three" were present (Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin ). This conference mainly dealt with finishing the war for good and deciding what to do now that the war is over. Roosevelt was too sick to listen to Stalin while Truman could withstand Stalin.
The Potsdam Conference was the conference that mainly focused on the splitting of Germany. It featured Churchill, Truman, and Stalin who looked as unfriendly as ever. The conference also determined the outcome of post Europe in general. |
Communism vs. Capitalism
CommunismNo matter how hard you work, you are only allowed to get a certain amount of money (the same amount of money that everyone gets) that is predetermined by the government. With this, there are absolutely no social classes and basically everything is owned by the government. The government is able to put heavy censorship on everything because of this (ex. the internet). Besides that, there is little to no freedom among the people.

CapitalismAnyone is able to start their own business and become rich with the right steps. The government has less control on the market with capitalism so it is easier to get rich/poor very quickly. There is also things like political parties and rights for freedom that enable the people to do what they want. In other words, the harder you work, the more freedom and money you get.
