The Cold War
Over the course of 45 years that the Cold War had gone on, many events took place that changed the world for the better or the worse. Equality, movements, protests, violence, war, agony, pain, relief, and accomplishment all had one thing to do with each other: they were all involved in progress over these seemingly short years.

The 50's was all about the beginning of a very long war as well as change back home in America. The public was shocked that we had just gotten out of a war to get back into one. However, the Cold War was a war that was different from any other war that we had ever been in.
There were many different changes happening inside as well as outside of the United States. The world still viewed America as the biggest superpower of the world, yet we couldn't even beat Vietnam. Back at home, people were discontent with the way the government was running things or how they were treated so they tried to change it.
